Simply remove your entire drive shaft extending between the rear PTU (power take off unit) and the front differential including both sections (containing 3 universal joints in total), then send it to us. When we receive your drive shaft assuming all of your hard parts including universal joints and the center support bearing are in acceptable condition, we will then straiten and balance your driveshaft to our strict tolerances and will ship it back to you within one business day.
If your hard parts are not in acceptable condition a quote will be generated to reflect additional repairs at additional cost that will be directed to you and from the day we receive the work order, the drive shaft will be serviced and shipped the following day.
Noise and Vibration Problem:
Many brand new 4 seat and 2 seat RZR 1000's and 900's and 800's come directly from the factory with a vibration and noise problem. This vibration and noise is caused by the drive shaft that connects the rear PTU (power take off unit) to the front differential. The majority of vibration and noise issue is a result of imbalance and radial runnout of the driveshaft. Even after balancing and straightening operations are performed on the drive shaft it is still common to experience a noise from the front differential area but the vibration will be 99% cured. The resultant noise and vibration is generated from the excessive non-complimenting run angles of the universal joints in the drive shaft system. By placing washer shims under the rearward mount of the front differential the run angle of the front universal is reduced and this improves/eliminates the remainder of the noise/vibration.
